To advance its promotional work for 2027 master’s program admissions and continuously expand effective sources of prospective students, the School of Management recently formed several recruitment teams to conduct postgraduate admissions presentations in Shiyan, Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Changsha, and other cities.
On June 23, faculty members Xiao Jing and Zou Qiao visited Hunan University of Finance and Economics to deliver an admissions presentation. Drawing on recent trends in postgraduate entrance examinations and the distinctive strengths of the School’s disciplines, they analyzed key considerations for selecting a suitable university and preparing for the examinations.
They also provided an in-depth explanation of Wuhan Institute of Technology’s postgraduate admissions policies, scholarships and financial aid, and distinctive features of its postgraduate education. The presentation generated enthusiastic participation. Attending students commented that the guidance was detailed and highly relevant, helping them clarify their examination preparation and application strategies, prepare in a more informed and efficient manner, and alleviate the pressure associated with the process.
On June 26, a delegation led by Zuo Hui, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, visited the School of Public Health and Health at Hubei University of Medicine for an admissions presentation.
Zuo provided a detailed introduction to the principles of university selection under current circumstances, application strategies and techniques, the School’s history, disciplinary strengths, faculty, research teams and platforms, cultivation models, scholarships and financial aid, the advantages of its various master’s degree programs, and its anticipated enrollment plan for 2027. The presentation comprehensively demonstrated the School’s strengths in postgraduate education and prompted active engagement from the participating students.
Following the presentation, Zuo and the delegation held a special symposium with the leadership team of the School of Public Health and Health at Hubei University of Medicine. The two sides exchanged views on student cultivation and academic program development, laying a foundation for deeper cooperation in the future.
From June 26 to 27, Dean Yan Huafei visited Henan Finance University and Xinxiang University to conduct two dedicated application guidance sessions. The presentations provided systematic guidance in four principal areas: trends in postgraduate entrance examinations, strategies for selecting institutions and submitting applications, an overview of the School, and postgraduate admissions policies.
During the question-and-answer sessions, students raised numerous questions concerning applications across disciplinary fields, supervisor selection, program duration and tuition fees, preparation plans for specialized subjects, techniques for the second-stage examination and interview, and career prospects associated with pursuing postgraduate study away from their home regions.
Taking each student’s circumstances into consideration, Yan patiently addressed their questions individually and provided targeted recommendations.
The series of presentations not only expanded the influence of the School’s postgraduate admissions outreach but also enhanced awareness of the School among universities both within and beyond Hubei Province, establishing a valuable bridge for inter-university exchange.
Going forward, the School will continue to expand its recruitment channels within and outside the province and regularly conduct admissions presentations at neighboring universities. Through these efforts, it aims to attract more outstanding graduating students to apply for its master’s programs and promote the high-quality development of postgraduate education.
