On the afternoon of April 1, a delegation led by Ms. Shao Nan, Director of ACCA China, visited the University for research and exchange. Li Zhixu, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered remarks. The symposium was chaired by Yan Huafei, Dean of the School of Management.

Li extended a warm welcome to Ms. Shao and her delegation and expressed his appreciation for the longstanding interest and support that the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has provided for the development of the University’s accounting program and its talent cultivation initiatives. He gave a detailed introduction to the University’s development and highlighted the achievements of the School of Management’s Accounting Program with an ACCA concentration in curriculum development, talent cultivation, and social impact.

Li expressed the hope that, building on their sound existing partnership, the University and ACCA would further broaden and deepen their cooperation. He proposed that the two sides jointly establish platforms for student internships, practical training, and international exchange; explore new models and pathways for cultivating internationally oriented accounting and finance professionals in the digital era; and develop more high-caliber professionals who possess a global perspective, outstanding professional expertise, and a strong commitment to integrity.

Shao spoke highly of the talent cultivation model and notable achievements of the University’s ACCA program. She thanked the University for the importance it has attached to ACCA and for its active contributions to the accounting and finance profession. She also introduced ACCA’s general development and its plans for 2026, expressing her expectation that cooperation with the University would continue to deepen as the two sides jointly address emerging challenges facing the profession.

Yan provided a detailed overview of the School of Management, including its disciplines and academic programs, scientific research, and talent cultivation. He placed particular emphasis on the development and educational achievements of the ACCA program and expressed the hope that ACCA would continue to provide strong support for the School’s educational endeavors.

Xu Hui, Head of the Department of Accounting and Director of the ACCA Center at the School of Management, reported on the development of the University’s ACCA program, its teaching operations, and its achievements in student development.

During the discussion session, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on establishing a long-term talent cultivation mechanism, developing cooperative education programs, and sharing educational resources.

Representatives from the University’s Undergraduate School and the ACCA Center of the School of Management also attended the symposium.
