My Journey So Far

This is last year's family picture!!! I've been married for 17 and a half years! We have 4 kiddos, 3 girls and 1 boy, and two dogs!! Being a Mom was all I ever wanted to be!!!! When people asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was...Mom!!!

Now being a Mom is an absolute joy, and can be fulfilling in many ways!!!! But truthfully, there are many, MANY times where it's a thankless job! There are many times I have felt like I wasn't doing enough, wasn't doing it right, and was being criticized or judged here and there for what I was, or wasn't doing...

At the end of 2009, I was introduced to my first Direct Sales Company!!! I was sooo excited and thought FOR SURE everyone will want this health and wellness product!!! LOL!!! I quickly learned that not everyone wanted it. Most people were already using something similar, or others weren't wanting or willing to commit to taking a product every day! I lasted a whole 5 MONTHS! WHEW!

Then, in April 2013, I joined another company! This one was skincare and I thought, FOR SURE people want good, healthy, skin! I know I did! I was young and didn't have wrinkles yet, but prevention, right? WRONG!!!! It was not the right fit for me! I lasted a whole 8 months this time!!

Now, stay with me! Fast Forward to September 2016! I bought a lipstick from a friend who told me she'd deliver and teach me how to put it on! Why would I need help putting on lipstick? Yet, there was, and thankfully she showed me! The day she delivered I was in my grubby clothes because we were laying sod in our backyard! I remember as she left she offhandedly said, "and if you think you'll love it, you could consider selling it!" I gave her the answer all of us in the business kind of dread! I said, "Oh, there's NO way. I've done two others and will NEVER again!" She was super nice about it and said no worries and left!

Later that night after laying sod for probably a good 6 hours, I showered, and was about to get in PJ's when I looked in the mirror and saw that my lipstick had stayed ON! I COULD NOT BELIEVE it! I'd always loved lipstick, but hated reapplying and my hubby wouldn't kiss me if it would get on him!

I did really well in the business!!!! I think mostly because people knew I wasn't a makeup wearer and then all of a sudden, there I was, selling makeup!

There were a few things that went on where there were complaints and frustration within the distributors. I stayed positive and steady. I did not understand why people were complaining. Our manufacturing was changing and it was going to benefit all of us in the long run! It was during this time I realized, I'M MEANT TO BE IN THE BUSINESS, but I'm not in the right company for ME! I worked this full time for 8 months and then part-time for about 2 months!

I got a message on Facebook in May, asking if I'd be willing to host a MojiLife party! This gal and I had met back in November 2016 at an event and I'd told her to reach out to me after the first part of the year! Two days into the Party, I joined and the rest is HISTORY!!!!

That would have not been nice to leave it at that! But really, I'd found my home! I have ALWAYS loved smelly good things! Remember when markers had smells and stickers smelled yummy? I'm that crazy lady that went into a movie theater bathroom, and it smelled sooooo good. I walked to the front desk and asked the kid if he knew what the smell was in the bathroom. He was like, "Uhhh, ma'am, I don't think they sell to homes. I think they just sell to businesses!" I was like, that's totally OK, I just want to know what the smell is! His response, "I think it's like a black cherry or something!"

I had a warmer for my kitchen, a diffuser in my kitchen, and plugins throughout all the hallways in the house! I'd never found anything that worked the way I thought it should!

MOJILIFE changed my life! Funny, right? But it is so very true! Not only does my home smell amazing, but I've made friendships with people all over the world! People I would have never met had I not decided to work this business! I have friends, coworkers, and teammates that truly uplift me and help me be my best self! We encourage, motivate, and inspire one another!

I've been with MojiLife for 3 and a half years! I am two ranks away from being at the VERY top! I've been in the Top 100 for 2 years. I've gone on 2 company trips and about to qualify for the 3rd! I was awarded the Phoenix Award in the May of 2019! I'm still to this day in awe about this! It was a complete surprise and I'm so very honored and grateful for the opportunity I have to be a leader in the company!!!!!

While being a Mom has given me purpose and can be fulfilling, I'm so grateful I've found an additional way to have purpose and fulfillment by working from home!!! I have learned, gained, and grown so much!!!! I feel like it's helped me in becoming my best self!!! I #enjoyeverymoment of what I do!!!!
