On the evening of June 12, the School of Management, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the School of Art and Design jointly held a graduation gala for the Class of 2026 at Dapeng Square. Themed “Art Captures Affection and Aspiration, Materials Explore a World of Possibilities, and Management Charts a Promising Future,” the event celebrated the graduates’ achievements and marked the beginning of their new journeys.
Attendees included Yan Min, Director of the Student Affairs Department of the University Party Committee; Zuo Hui, Secretary of the School of Management Party Committee; Deng Huan, Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering Party Committee; Chen Enyu, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth League Committee; deputy secretaries of the Party committees of the three schools; all counselors; and more than 500 graduating undergraduate and master’s students.
The energetic opening dance, Zoo, immediately enlivened the venue. Students from the three schools then showcased their talents through a succession of dances, songs, traditional musical performances, classical Chinese-style dances, and song medleys.
Performances including A Friend Like You, China in the Lights, and All China as One celebrated friendship among classmates, expressed devotion to the country, and presented the enduring appeal of traditional Chinese culture. The outstanding performances were greeted with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
At the conclusion of the gala, all counselors took the stage to perform Cheers. Filled with the reluctance of teachers to bid farewell and their sincere wishes for the graduates, the warm melody brought the evening to an emotional climax and provided a fitting conclusion to the celebration.
The graduation gala preserved treasured memories of the graduates’ youth while demonstrating the positive and ambitious spirit of students from the three schools. May all members of the Class of 2026 carry their aspirations forward, continue advancing with determination, and embark upon a new journey toward a bright and promising future.
